Bill wasn’t sleeping.. and she saw a tear falling from his eyes.. -Bill... what is happeninig to you, sweetheart? -Nothing Nicole... I feel like nobody cares about me, I feel like no one loves me because I’m Bill. Everyone loves Bill from Tokio Hotel, and... -Bill... I love you sweetheart... You don’t need to care about the people! On the next day, Tom came to visit his brother. Tom closed the door to Bill's room softly and stepped inside. It was late, and Bill might be sleeping, but he wanted to talk to him. "Bill?" he said softly. There was no answer. He saw light peeking out from underneath the bathroom door, and knocked. "Hey, Bill, it's me. Or Nicole. Silence greeted him. "Hello? Okay, well, uh, if it's Nicole, and you're naked or something, cover up because I'm coming in." He waited a few more seconds, then opened the door. "Oh my god." Nicole struggled out the door of the bar and stumbled down the street. She squeezed her eyes shut to try to stop the world from spinning, but gave up and just made her way slowly and laboriously back home. She unlocked the basement door and crept up to her room, and was about to collapse on her bed when she heard Tom talking in a panicked voice in her bathroom she got up and went to him. "Tom?" she said, squinting as the bright light hit her eyes. He was sitting next to the bathtub, tears flowing from his eyes as he talked to someone on his cell phone. "... and he's out cold, I don't know what to do, oh God, yes he's still breathing ok ok thank you." he hung up and looked at Nicole. She stood, looking at Bill's peaceful face and beautiful body. His arms were flung out like wings, his head tilted back on the bathtub. He looked like an angel, getting ready to fly. She watched in a trance as people pushed past her and lifted him out of the bathtub, talking and yelling and getting him to his bed. She watched as they taped up his wounds and she watched as they pumped volts upon volts of electricity into his body. She watched as they removed the razor blades from the bathtub and put them in small plastic baggies. And then she fainted. Bill and Nicole lay like corpses in a silent sleep, and Tom thought they looked more dead than alive. He drummed his fingers on the arm of the chair he was sitting in and stared into space. His twin had tried to commit suicide. His twin! The one person he was as close to as he was himself.. his best friend. The one person he would put nothing- NOTHING in the world over. He was supposed to be there for Bill. He was supposed to stop this before it happened. And all he did was find him. Nicole stirred and sat up, stretching. Tom didn't move or say anything. She looked over at Bill and, apparently remembering everything, sighed and climbed over to him. Tom just watched as she pulled back the covers and snuggled in next to him. -"Nicole.." he said softly, and she opened her eyes and picked her head up from where it was resting next to Bill's. "Tom." she replied. He couldn't hear her well enough to get how she felt out of her voice... he hoped she wasn't angry. "Do you blame me?" he said softly, hanging his head a bit. "No. I blame myself." He looked at her with shock and said, "Don't! It wasn't you! It was him... he's just sensitive, over sensitive, I don't know, maybe it's been happening for a while! It wasn't you! Please don't even say that!" She looked at Bill's peaceful face and sighed. "Even if you're right... I'll just never forgive myself." There was a silence, the two of them looking at Bill's lifeless sleeping body. "It's strange, huh? I mean, how he can be so happy then so sad... his emotions are so volatile..." Tom said. There was another silence, then she burst out, "I think I love him. I know I've only known him for a while but he's so... so... oh, I don't know. I mean, he's not like anyone I've ever met before, he's... he's... he's spectacular." Tom stared at her, then looked away. His look was icy. There was a silence, then: "That's what they all say." "What do you mean?" "Oh, come on. It's not like you're not thinking it too: Bill is the sweet, sensitive one that everyone loves. .” "It was fine for a while, but... everyone needs a someone." Nicole was silent, thinking. "You'll find your someone. Just maybe not today, or tomorrow, or this week. But you'll find them." Tom nodded and just looked at his hands until a movement in the corner of his eye caught his attention. "He's waking up. Do you want me to leave?" Georgina bit her lip. It wasn't really fair to ask him, Bill's TWIN, to leave, but she wanted time alone with Bill... "It's fine." Tom said, noticing the look on her face. "Call me in when you're done." And with that he was out the door. Bill woke up with a headache like a bitch and an IV strapped in his arm. He rolled over and nearly collided with Nicole, who was peering anxiously down at him. "God!" he said, surprised. "Sorry. Are you all right?" "Um... yeah... what hap- oh. Right." "Bill I just wanted to say I'm really really sorry for everything, I never should have... well... I should have told you, I shouldn't have snuck around... and I shouldn't have just left you here like that and..." By now her tears were falling freely and, as angry as he was, he melted at the thought of her being upset. "Shh, it's okay, really. I'm sorry I... well... it wasn't your fault." "Bill, I love you." *Crap.* he thought. Here he was, with a girl he loved who needed him about as much as he needed her, and he had promised to keep it easy for a while... "I love you too." he heard himself saying. The were silent a while, Bill staring up at the ceiling and Nicole tracing patterns on his back with her fingers. "Tom blames himself, doesn't he?" Bill asked. "Yeah. He thinks he should have been there for you." Bill sighed. Tom, Tom, Tom... he thought. "Where is he?" "Waiting outside. Should I get him?" "Sure, thanks." "Kay." She got up and, with one last look at the fragile and vulnerable Bill before her, went to get his twin.
